    Institute on Independent Living : The Institute on Independent Living serves self-help organizations of people with disabilities who work for equal opportunities, self-determination and self-respect. They offer training materials, technical assistance and information on personal assistance, advocacy, access, legislation and peer support

    The British Council of Disabled People BCODP is the only national umbrella organisation to be democratically set up by disabled people themselves to represent their interests at the national level.

    Disabled Peoples' International DPI DPI is a network of national organizations or assemblies of disabled people, established to promote human rights of disabled people through full participation, equalization of opportunity and development.

     

    Disability Unit of the European Commission Employment and Social Affairs DG:  The unit is empowering people with disabilities for participation in society, including the severely disabled, while paying due attention to the needs and interests of their families and carers; mainstreaming the disability perspective into all relevant sectors of policy formulation and implementation.

    European Disability Forum : Its mission is to ensure disabled citizens' full access to fundamental and human rights through their active involvement in policy development and implementation in the EU)
